Apraksts

Building the manor was a preoccupation for Fromhold Gotthard Knorring, and during his lifetime, in the 1780s, a grand late Baroque edifice was constructed. After a fire in the early 19th century, the Aruküla mansion was rebuilt in a strict, Neoclassicist style.
Famed world circumnavigator Adam Johann von Krusenstern was a frequent visitor to this manor and owned Kiltsi Manor in the same neighbourhood.
In 2014, major restoration work started. The extensive renovations in the 1820s can be seen in the interiors, attesting to the changing owners and fashions. The restoration work has revealed paintings from different periods, of which the oldest ones are probably from the building’s original construction date.
