Lizumo dvaras

The castle was built in the middle of 19th century in English Gothic style. The property of Lizums Manor belonged to different Baltic German families of the Tiesenhauzens, the Malamas and the Volfs. In 1836 the manor was purchased by Baron Otto Gottlieb von Wolff, during his ownership manor housewas rebuilt to the present shape - Tjudor's Neo-gothic style with a polygonal tower. The original interior is best preserved in the Blue Hall. It was created by Alexander Knoks. The castle is surrounded by a park where manor buildings are located - the masonry barn (now the cultural centre), horse stables built in 1876 (sports hall), servants and gardener's house, etc. In the building of the former distillery candies "Gotina” areproduced.
