Description

The Garsene manor house was built from 1856 till 1860 in pseudo-gothic style, the architect of it is unknown. The baronial Boningshausen – Budberg dynasty owned it eleven generations long. For many decades the manor house was accommodated for the school`s needs, at present the manor house is in the front of changes – historical building is adapted for events and celebrations. The guests are kindly welcomed to learn more about the history of Garsene and manor house in the museum which is located in the manor house, to see the unique oven of ceramic tiles, to enjoy the walk in the nature trails along in the ancient valley of the river Dienvidsuseja. The travelers are invited to stay over in the manor house – that is a luxurious opportunity to feel the presence of the ghost- Blue Lady.

Garsene manor is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 - 18:00
Visiting the castle in different hours is also possible, but we kindly ask you to reach us by phone +371 26367150. Agreeing on groups visit and guided excursion is also possible by calling in advance. English speaking tour guide is available on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 - 18:00.
