Description

The visitors of Limbaži have a chance to explore historical complex, which includes in the first quarter of the 19th century built “Riga Council New Castle”, also known as Pilsmuiža (caste estate). Today the building houses Limbaži Museum, to whom next is Limbaži Medieval Castle Ruins with panorama tower. Limbazi Museum to visitors offers permanent exhibitions - “Town. County. Sea”, which is dedicated to Limbazi and its surrounding, and exhibition about Baumaņu Kārlis (the author of hymn of the Republic of Latvia) and its time. At the two of the changeable exhibition halls visitors can see travelling, specialists of museum self-made or art exhibitions. This summer is opened new exhibition – “The Landscape of Cultural Heritage – an Example of the Centers of Manors in Limbaži County”.

Adults (for one person) - 1,00  EUR
Family with the children under 18 - 1,50 eur
Sight Tower next to Limbaži Medieval Castle Ruins (for one person) - 0,30 EUR.

Closed on official holidays: the 1st January, Good Friday, the 1st and the 4th May, the 23rd and the 24th June, on Christmas (the 24th and the 25th of December), the 31st December.
